Have wounding experiences chewed holes through years of your life?
If you’ve been carrying deep wounding experiences—such as trauma, complex grief, relational rupture, or a chronic health condition—you may know the feeling of trying to pray, serve, or believe your way through pain, only to find that the faith once large enough to hold your life no longer fits.
Restore is a six-week trauma-informed group coaching journey designed especially for Orthodox Christians seeking to integrate emotional healing with the deep, living wisdom of the Christian East.
Together, we’ll explore how God restores the years that trauma has consumed—not by erasing what’s happened, but by transfiguring it into new life and a deeper faith that is grounded in hope and wholeness.
A Space for Healing and Reconnection
Restore offers a gentle, structured space to help Orthodox Christians—or those who resonate with Ancient Christian tradition—navigate the long work of restoration.
Inside this six-week journey, you’ll:
- Reframe your story through the lens of Christ’s resurrection and the Church’s healing traditions.
- Reclaim practices—like prayer, fasting, confession, or silence—in ways that support wholeness rather than invite shame, burnout, or self-harm.
- Reconnect safely with your body, faith, and community after trauma.
- Remember that restoration is not about perfection or performance—it’s about presence and participation in God’s healing work.
About the Coach

You’ll be guided by me, Nicole M. Roccas, a certified trauma-informed coach who understands the unique needs and perspectives of Orthodox Christian trauma survivors. This course combines strengths- and strategy-based approaches to trauma healing with historical Christian practices to help you navigate your healing path.

What You’ll Receive
When you join Restore, you’ll receive:
- 6x Weekly 90-Minute Group Coaching Sessions (via Zoom), offering teaching, reflection, and discussion. Recordings of each session are made available to participants for the duration of the program.
- A Comprehensive Workbook with guided somatic, reflective, and spiritual readings and exercises.
- View-Only Session Recordings available through the end of the program period.
Who This Program Is For
- Orthodox Christians (Eastern or Oriental jurisdictions) navigating recovery from trauma or other wounding life experiences—such as divorce, chronic illness, relational rupture, or grief.
- Survivors of trauma or spiritual abuse seeking to integrate post-traumatic growth with spiritual healing in a safe, resurrection-oriented space.
- People who desire to engage with faith and spiritual growth in ways that are compassionate, embodied, and nonjudgmental.
- Thoughtful seekers from other Christian traditions drawn to the depth and mystery of the Eastern Church.
Disclaimer: This program is not intended for individuals currently experiencing unmanaged mental health conditions (such as active PTSD, severe depression, or suicidal ideation) or those in crisis. Participants should have sufficient stability and external support to engage in reflective, growth-oriented work within a group coaching setting.
What Past Participants Are Saying
The Restore program and my trauma-informed coaching work have drawn participants from across the Orthodox Christian world and beyond—women and men seeking to integrate healing and faith in safe, authentic ways.
Here’s what some of them have shared about their experience:
“Nicole helped me process the worst experiences of my life in a way that is helping me move beyond them. I will always be grateful for that.”
“I would recommend Nicole’s coaching services to anyone dealing with trauma, especially religious trauma of any kind, because she is empathetic, thoughtful, and respectful. Being able to talk through everything with her really helped me.”
“Nicole, I only wish I found out about your programs sooner. What you do is so important and so needed in our church communities.”
“What I valued most was everything. It is difficult to say only one thing. Helping people to understand that being honest with ourselves is very important as we pray. You gave so many helpful examples and direction in regard to this. Thank you.”
“I would recommend Nicole’s coaching to anyone who has experienced trauma, especially religious trauma, particularly in the Eastern Orthodox Church. I have found that while members of other Christian traditions speak to and about religious trauma, this is less common in the Orthodox Church. This creates an environment where those who have experienced trauma are overlooked, ignored, or even reprimanded for speaking up. Being able to openly discuss my experiences, without having to constantly provide background or explanations of the Church, allowed for greater healing.”
“This program helped me appreciate that with more knowledge and self-awareness, I am able to do hard things—and the hard work that is needed—to be a better person and live more in the present moment.”

Because healing is not about going back—it’s about being restored.
In Restore, we don’t rush the process or force resolution. We learn to trust that God is already at work in what feels unfinished.
Through reflection, community, and the wisdom of the Church, you’ll begin to notice the slow, sacred ways restoration unfolds: in courage, in tenderness, in the quiet rediscovery of joy.
If you’ve been longing to re-engage your faith in ways that honor your wounds and your wholeness, you are not alone.
